Henry Sun was born in Southeast Asia and grew up in Southern California. He graduated with a B.S. in mechanical engineering from California Polytechnic University, Pomona. He is now working for a bio-medical company, overseeing the procurement group as part of the Supply Chain Management team. A self-professed “frustrated artist turned engineer,” Henry uses photography as his creative outlet and ministry, and believes that “photography is a divine opportunity.”
Aside from photography, Henry has a passion for evangelism—especially for the next generation and the youth. Saved through a message during a tumultuous teenage year from a sermon he listened to on his Sony “Walkman,” Henry believes that “God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose” (Rom. 8:28). Through Jesus Christ, he believes that no matter our past, God’s love for us is absolute, redemptive and unconditional. He served as a youth ministry leader at a Presbyterian Church throughout his college years, became an associate lay minister at a local charismatic congregation and was a Secretary of the Board in a previous church for over ten years.
He currently resides in Santa Clara, CA, with his beautiful daughter, Keshia. They enjoy camping, biking, playing board games, and traveling together.
