Larry Becker was born and raised in San Francisco and moved to the peninsula as a young teenager. He currently lives in Belmont with his wife Robbie, and is the proud father of a son and a daughter, and the proud grandfather of six wonderful grandchildren. After graduating from San Mateo High School, Larry attended the University of California, Berkeley and graduated with a B.S. in accounting. His career included being one of the early “Rent-a-CFOs” in Silicon Valley working with start-up companies.
Larry’s spiritual journey started when he accepted Christ into his life at the age of eleven at a Youth For Christ rally in downtown San Francisco. That decision changed his life for good. He has been a regular attendee of three different churches since accepting Christ, and has been actively involved in each of these churches, including serving in the roles of treasurer, elder, church chairman, budget coach, and Sunday school teacher.
Larry is honored and excited to serve at New Beginnings. He believes God has a wonderful plan for this new congregation that includes a vision of reaching the many unchurched individuals in the San Francisco Bay Area.
