Most churches call their congregation to become members. At NBCC, we invite you to become a partner.

What’s the difference?

At NBCC, we believe that Christian ministry is a partnership in the Gospel that involves active rather than passive participation in the church.

If you’re new to NBCC or unsure about who we are and what partnership means, we invite you to watch the “Plug In” Message Series below where Pastor Hurmon shares NBCC’s unique vision and values and how diversity is celebrated within the community.

If you already understand what partnership with NBCC means and you’re ready to take that step, we invite you to partner with us now!

What does partnership with NBCC look like?

Partnership involves a commitment of:

TIME: I commit to regularly attend NBCC weekend Worship Gatherings (in person or online) and invite others to attend with me.
TALENT: I commit to serving at NBCC, utilizing my gifts and ministry passions.
TREASURE: I commit to joyfully and generously give of my income to support NBCC’s ministry.
TRUST: I commit to respectfully support the leadership of NBCC and share disagreements directly to leadership.

Ready to become a partner of NBCC? Partner with us now!

Your commitment helps us to fulfill our call to be a diverse, multigenerational, multiethnic, Jesus-first community that holds to the core historic truths of the Christian faith as an evangelical church (see the Apostle’s Creed below.) We acknowledge and celebrate the diversity of our community, which means that on disputed matters, we affirm our highest fidelity to Jesus Christ and the commitment to love one another while making space for different convictions. We believe this is a witness of devoted Jesus followers that our world desperately needs.

The Apostles’ Creed (the historic essentials of the Christian faith):

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended to the dead. The third day He rose again. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian* Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

*Christian: the ancient text reads “catholic,” meaning the whole Church as it confesses the wholeness of Christian doctrine.

Join us as we continue to build this thriving community of Jesus followers!

Thank you for partnering in ministry with our NBCC family!
