My name is Lupita, and this is my warrior mother, Raquel. I was separated from her for the first 15 years of my life. I began living with her as a teen, which had been difficult for each of us, especially not having a relationship with God. At 18, I began what would be a long 6 years without speaking to her. But God, on August 15, 2021, snatched my soul at church and told me to get right with others to be reconciled with Him. In response to this divine call, my mom was the first person I invited to my baptism on my birthday. Sunday, December 12, 2021, I surrendered my life to Christ in front of all my family at NBCC. On May 28, 2023, my mom gave her life to the only Redeemer, Jesus Christ. All glory belongs to the only Savior for humanity. Jesus for my family!
My name is Sharon and our mother Veronica Mukui is one of the strongest women, who is raising two of the happiest people, my brother and me. She was strong for me while I was in a coma and showed up for weeks until I finally moved a finger. Through all of this, she was able to bring my baby brother and best friend into this world. We are both very blessed to have a role model and best friend as great as our mama. I have love and respect all of the mothers of this world for raising us children.
We are Avery and Jordan Wooten, and our mom, Celeste Adams, is the embodiment of humility, selflessness, unwavering determination, and a deep devotion to Christ. Through her words and actions, she has taught us that no challenge is insurmountable when met with prayer and perseverance. She leads with kindness in every interaction and gives generously from both her heart and mind. While working full time and raising two children, she still found time to pour into others offering wisdom, empathy, and support to family, friends, and even strangers who sought her counsel. Her love is unconditional. Celeste Adams is more than a mother, she is our rock, our superhero, and a true woman of God.
My name is Tilden, and my mother Florence represents for me the Hebrew word, chesed. Chesed means the faithful, loving-kindness of God, and my mom has been that for me and our whole family day in and day out, and year in and year out, no matter what else was going on in life. The greatest honor of my life was serving my mom by baptizing her, since she has served and loved our family with such faithfulness and tenacity. I love you, Mom!
My name is Trinece, and my mom, Pally, is truly one of God’s greatest gifts in my life. The way she loves is incredible; full of grace, strength, and care. She’s beautiful inside and out, and her love for God and people inspires me everyday. What I admire most is her strength. She’s walked through hard seasons with so much faith and courage, and it’s that strength that’s held me up time and time again. She’s taught me to put God first, to be strong and independent, and to love deeply. And now, the older I get, the more I hear her words in my heart and the more I realize how much she’s shaped the woman I’ve become. When I was sick last year, she never left my side. She prayed for me, made me smile, and reminded me that everything was going to be alright. I’m thankful for every laugh on the phone, every concert, every family dinner, and even those moments when she’s excited to show me a new outfit! She cheers for me in every season and loves me through it all. Momma, thank you for your love, your strength, and your faith. I love you with all my heart.
My name is Skip and my mom, Lillian Vaccarello, is 103 years old. At the age of 13, she nearly died. While walking on a train track bridge over a river, she tripped. As the train barreled toward her,she lowered herself, hanging on to a wooden tie as the train passed within inches of her fingers. She was saved by a boy who saw her hanging from the bridge. She comments that he was like an angel God had sent, “I promised God that I would live a life helping other people.” She kept her promise, lovingly raising a family of four, teaching nursery school for many years, and volunteering for various groups, including Hospice, Meals-on-Wheels, Girl Scouts, Little League, and the Council for Aging. For years, she alsohelped at her Church’s thrift shop, where the money raised went to help the disadvantaged in the community. She is loved by all.
My mom, Janice Christian-Austrie, is truly one of a kind. She is a prayer warrior, a powerful woman of God, and a daily example of grace, strength, and unwavering faith. Her life is a masterclass in loving leadership—she commands respect not through force, but through the integrity of her walk with Christ. She’s taught me what it means to serve others with humility and excellence, to speak life, and to believe boldly. Her love is fierce, her prayers are mighty, and her legacy is one of deep faith and unstoppable love.
My name is Jaden and my mom, Andrea, is the strongest woman I know. Thank you for you love, reassurance, and sacrifice. Happy Mother’s Day, mama! I love you!
My name is Paulette, the 7th of nine children to a wonderful mother, Augustine Ongla. It’s hard to sum up a woman like my mom—she was strength, grace, and unwavering faith in motion. She loved deeply, served selflessly, and lived out her faith every day. Whether feeding the homeless or guiding us through life with homemade meals and heartfelt prayers, she made sure we always felt cared for.Mom taught us not just to believe in God but to live like Him—through love, service, and trust, even in hardship. Her devotion to God, to my dad, and to our family shaped my understanding of love and commitment. Though she went home to be with the Lord in 2016, her legacy lives on in me. I miss her deeply, but I carry her wisdom, faith, and love in all I do. Until we meet again—rest in peace, Mom.
My name is Danielle and I want to take a moment to celebrate my mom, Elsa – the most incredible woman who has given so much for herself to shape the lives of her children with unwavering love and strength. Through every challenge, she’s stood tall, showing us what true independence and resilience look like. She has taught me the value of kindness, the importance of standing on my own two feet, and the beauty of loving with your whole heart. Because of my mom, I’ve grown into someone I’m proud to be. Thank you, Mom, for every word of encouragement, every hug that said more than words ever could, and all the unseen moments you continue to give so selflessly. You inspire me every single day, and I’m endlessly grateful to call you my mother!
My name is Geonnie, and on this special Mother’s Day, I want to celebrate my incredible mom, Dorissa Adams, who embodies the essence of a Proverbs 31 woman. Her patience and kindness radiate in everything she does, always striving to see the world through God's eyes rather than her own. She has a beautiful spirit and a gentle heart, but her strength is equally remarkable—never to be taken for granted. Mom, your unwavering love and wisdom inspire me every day, and I am endlessly grateful for the gift of having such an amazing mother in my life. Thank you for being you!
