Be Intentionally Generous

In today’s “Acts of Kindness” series message, Pastor Hurmon helps us to understand the importance of loving our neighbor by being intentionally generous.  Generosity requires kind and generous acts, liberality in giving, and freedom from meanness or smallness of mind or character. We should so far as to freely give to others who may not like us, or who we may not agree with. We look closely again at the story of the good Samaritan, and how it illustrates the blessing of generosity, and how it challenges us to respond with intentional generosity in our uses of with our limited resources, time, transportation, living space, and money. Finally, we are challenged to create a plan to be intentionally generous, to make a specific decision of what you would like to commit to giving, to make giving a priority, to designate a place or places to give, and to progress in how generous we can be.
