Homecoming
In this Easter Sunday message, Pastor Hurmon revisits the parable of the prodigal son through the lens of grace and in the context of scripture. Jesus offers the parable, along with the parables of the lost coin and the lost sheep, in response to criticism from religious leaders. The Pharisees and teachers of the law are offended to see Jesus eating with “sinners.” Through his stories, Jesus gives us multiple pictures of God’s grace for all of us—those who need it, but don’t know it; those who reject it; and those who are searching for it. All are invited to return to our Father’s house to receive this amazing grace.
