Connect
In the first message of the New Year, Pastor Hurmon starts our Not Easily Broken series. This series focuses on resilience: the way that we keep a broken world from breaking us. One tool God gives us to be resilient is connection with others. Connection with others requires vulnerability and investments of time with other people. Even though human connection is not perfect, when we create deep-rooted connections with other people who are also members of the kingdom of God, they are able to physically, emotionally, and spiritually support us in times of grief and trauma. That connection can also allow us to use our past hurts to understand and be supportive of others and show the unconditional love of God.
