The Seduction of Power
Continuing our 6-week series focused on the concept of Power, our relationship with it, and what we want it to be, we challenge our common notions of power. Even though human power is finite, infinite power ultimately comes from God and is in Him. The power of Jesus is the power to bring the universe under the authority of Christ. The worldly power we accrue on our own is seductive, and gives us the illusion of control, but it is not the infinite power of God, and it often controls us. We have a responsibility when we acquire power to place limits on ourselves, and on our uses of it.
