Freedom— at Last!
As part of the Back to Basics message series, Pastor Hurmon speaks to the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, and what that means for our relationship with God. Jesus’s death atones for our sins and sets us free of the shame and guilt which is part of the bondage of sin. It is an example of Jesus’s everlasting love for us, and allows us to experience forgiveness for things we could never make up for ourselves and wipes our slates clean. Where we confess our sins, the death of Jesus allows us to be forgiven of our sins so that our lives can be reshaped and repurposed to further the kingdom of God by joining the work of extraordinary love started by Jesus.
